I met...

While I was sitting by this relaxing stream
I heard some splashing.
I met Beatrice Beaver. We had a very nice chat. Beavers are very interesting and smart too. She was very polite and asked me to join her for lunch. I thanked her, but passed on the wood. Beatrice was busy building herself a dam.

Rock climber

On our recent road trip, I took time out to do some rock climbing.
This is my guide. He is helping me get a leg up on this rock climbing business.
Well I seem to be getting the hang of it now.
Ever hear the expression " between a rock and a hard place" ? Well I think I found it.

What a beautiful Sunday

I like heavy equipment. I got to ride up and down on the crane hook. It was just like being in an elevator, except it has a lot better view.
I will be gone for a couple of days, so I will resume posting when I get home. I should have alot of new pictures and adventures to share with you. Have a great Sunday.

Happy Saturday

TGIS! I like Saturdays. It is a family day. Before it gets too hot, we are playing games in the gazebo. Dad put in a nice ceiling fan so it stays cool even when there is no breeze. Fievel, Wally, Capt. Jack and I are playing a game of Sorry. Wally is really good at this game. Maybe we will play Yahtzee later. Then it will be time to go to some garage sales. Have a wonderful day.

Wiring

[Don't try this at home] I got to help Dad do some wiring. I got to check the outlet.

Then I got to shut off the breaker (very important). We wired in a new plug and checked it again. Now it works well for Mom.

Insect watching

It was such a beautiful day out, and not too hot. I decided to watch some insects. This ladybug is almost as big as me. I also saw a giant ant, grasshopper and a praying mantis. There seem to be a lot of spiders and cicades this year. Some butterflies have shown up as well. The dragonflies are hard to see, because they fly in such crazy patterns and don't seem to want to land.

I can sink this putt
I enjoy a nice game of golf. It is relaxing and great exercise too. Mom and I have been practicing our putting in the yard. One of these days we will go to the golf course and play a at least 9 holes. Mom said we can get a cart so i'm not worn out. What games do you play?

Fort Madison

While Mom and Dad gambled and had lunch on the river boat. Wally and I explored old Fort Madison. What an interesting place. We saw how they did things 150 years ago. I'm glad we didn't live then, cause they didn't even have TV.

Feeding the ducks...

We went to the GOP park so I could feed the ducks and geese. There were a few of them swimming. They must not have been too hungry because they didn't swarm around like they do when the are hungry. It was still fun. They looked really happy to be swimming on such a warm day. They like bread and wet dog food. One of them kept ducking his head under water. It was so funny to see his feet and tail in the air.

Thomas...?

Well it was time for another outing. I spotted this fella and asked Dad if we could stop. He said sure we can. I think he looks like Thomas the train, don't you? He seems to be smiling. Have you watched the stories of Thomas? I always watch them. I am standing on the stairs at the front. Got to get ready for church now, have a wonderful day.

Fieldtrip

Dad and Mom home school me. They said it was time for a field trip. For history, we went to the gravesite of Curtis King. He was the oldest man to serve in the civil war. He was 80 years old. I thought it was amazing. There is so much local history that most local people overlook. It was fun, now I'm wondering where our next fieldtrip will be.

Zen Garden

Here I am in our Zen garden. This is a place where we can rest and enjoy ourselves. There are flowers, rocks, a gong, pathway and even a frog on a stack of coins for luck. Mom wrote on the big rock [Have a great day.in chinese] zen garden. It is a relaxing place. I have already raked it the way I like it. Sometimes you just need to unwind. Have a great day. Hi Paula

My Allowance

I do chores around the house and yard.I get a nickle allowance evry day. I have this neat bank my dad gave me, isn't he cute? I put my money in in to save it for special occasions. I wanted to have a savings account, but the bank won't let me without a social security card. I do my money dance when the coin gets dropped in. When mom and dad go gambling (me too sometimes) I get extra change, and sometimes dollars. I use my money for gifts. I am also saving for my colledge education. Do you get an allowance? Do you save it or spend it?

Aunt Donna's part 3

After we used the big tractor mower, it was time to get out the John Deere rider and do some trim work. Aunt Donna and Uncle Gary have the neatest things. I always have fun when we go over there. I bet you can't wait to see what the next thing I did was.

Aunt Donna's part 2

While at Aunt Donna's, Uncle Gary got out the old AC tractor so I could help mow. It just got a brand new paint job, just like my car. First I checked the oil. Then off to mowing. What a fun filled day.

Flowers

When I woke up this morning, my Dad had picked me these flowers. They are very pretty and look like a halo on me, don't you think? All flowers are pretty even though some don't smell good, lol. There are so many kinds of flowers. God sure knew what he was doing. I like to look at them and sometimes you see a bug or three on them. I sit real still when I see bees. My favorite bug is a praying mantis. They are so green and small when they are new. I saw one on the fence the other day, it was funny. When I would walk past it, it would turn it's head and follow me. When I walked back the other way, it still followed me. I laughed so hard I fell down. Nature is a wonderful thing. Have a great Sunday!

Thank God it's Saturday

I always like Saturdays. There are garage sales to go to, yard work to be done. It's a family day. I like all the neat things we have in the yard. When you imagine you can pretend to be anywhere. Here Wally and I are riding in the cart pulled by a donkey across the desert. Near by there is a man taking a siesta. When these yuccas bloom the flowers are so pretty and tall. Where do you pretend to travel to from home?

Mooshie

This is my friend Mooshie. She is soft and pink. Wally likes to lay on her back. She just lays there and smiles at him. Mom brought her home to me from one of her road trips. I was so suprised. Sitting on her is like sitting on a cloud. Speaking of clouds, this past week was great for laying on the ground, looking up at the sky and seeing what shape the clouds look like. I saw a rabbit, turtle, and lots of mountain shapes. Did you see any fun shapes in the clouds?
A special good morning to Fl Mary

Up, up and away in my beautiful balloon. It is such a nice day I made this hot air balloon. [don't try this at home] I think I will fly it to Las Vegas. I call it my Las Vegas Express.

Hey everything looks like ants down there. Oh they are ants.

Refurbishing my car part 2

Well here it is, hot off the presses. What do you think? It drives much faster now, lol. The color is cobalt metallic blue. I decided to put on a clear coat to make it sparkle more in the sun. Mom recovered the seat for me while I painted it. Dad even found me a new antenna for it. I have a license plate on the back with my name on it & a Las Vegas license plate frame.

What a day, so far...

What a busy morning we had.
There was a rain storm last night. A great big piece of our tree fell off, just missing our fence and my swing set. I'm glad it didn't land on Hidalgo. I got out my axe and saw to help Mom and Dad clean it up. We loaded it onto the truck. It filled it up clear to the roof of the cab. Now we will have to go to the dump to unload it. I wonder what they will have...?
maybe I can drive it.

Good morning to Crzy Mary
