It's almost here

Our winter weather is on it's way. After I get done warming my toes [and reading my book by the fire], Mom and I will be decorating the Christmas tree. I have some new ornaments that I am excited about putting on the tree. I have penguins, snowmen, and doves that I bought this year just for the tree. My very best one is a Wally Gator ornament that looks just like my bestest friend Wally. Have a warm and blessed day.

Don't you just hate it when...

While I was out starting on my Christmas shopping, I got thirsty. I put some money in this pop machine and my bottle of pop got stuck. I had to practically crawl inside it to get my pop. Don't you just hate it when these vending machines jam up? It reminded me of Over the Hedge when RJ couldn't get his bag of chips. I started laughing so hard I almost fell over.

Leaves

Incase you noticed I wasn't here yesterday...

Can you guess what I was doing? We put the finishing touches on our yard display, as well as bagging up 14 bags of leaves. Today is to be one of our last nice days for who knows how long. Lets just say I may get to try out my new sled this week.

Enjoy your day today, no matter what the weather is.

P.S. Aunt Donna We love you [good luck on your surgery]

P.S.S. Caitlin is growing like a weed now. [5 lbs 11 oz] (Hope she comes home soon)

What a beautiful day

I know it's early... but we wanted to take advantage of the nice weather to get our outside Christmas decorations up.[It's supposed to turn off cold Tuesday] I have been working on changing our scarecrow into Santa for a couple of weeks now. I found his suit at a garage sale. I even had to find a new head since I used a pumpkin for the scarecrow. I think he turned out pretty good. Dad had to put him in the yard for me, since I was having trouble getting him back out the door. The lights are all hung, but we will wait until December to light them up. There are a few more leaves to rake, so I'd better get busy. Enjoy your weekend.

Staying in touch

Staying in touch with friends and relatives is always important. You can mail them things in the "regular" mail, email them, even call when you can't visit. I got to talk to both of my sisters, my aunts, and grandma and grandpa. One of my cousin's is getting married this weekend in Texas. (I wish we could be there). Be sure and stay in touch with those you love.
P.S. Please put my Aunt Donna in your prayers, she has to have surgery, and we need her in our lives. See you soon Aunt Donna.

Chopsticks

Yesterday for lunch, mom & I decided to have chinese. I asked if I could have some chopsticks to try. I even sat on pillows on the floor at a low table. They are harder than they look if you don't hold them right. I did finally get the hang of it. I had a good fortune in my cookie, it said I would have a good old age.

It's that time of year

Since it is November, it's time for Mom and me to start our crafting projects. We like to make Christmas gifts and ornaments. Mom likes to run the power tools, while I paint. Some times the glue gets stuck on us and we laugh alot. We always hunt for new projects to do, so we can try different things.
What do you like to do?
Have a special day.

Stop

And smell the flowers. I always like to look at and smell flowers. There are some pretty ones and some that smell really good. Every once in awhile I smell a pretty one and it is kind of stinky. Do you like to look at the flowers? I wonder how many kinds of flowers there are. I had better surf the net and see what I can find out about it. Have a great day!

Bowling

Sometimes I go to work with Dad and we get a few minutes to goof off. We decided to play bowling for dollars. These balls are heavy. I did manage to win $2.00 for my bank.

Going to the arcade

I like going to the arcade. My dad takes me to the one at the mall when the weather is ucky. I like to drive the race cars and the motorcycles. Dad usually wins [unless he crashes]. I have fun all the same. Maybe I can beat him at backgammon today.

Lilly

As you know by now we like to take side trips when we go places. I get to meet lots of interesing "people". I would like to introduce you to Lilly Llama. Wally and I thought she was just the cutest girl. She is kind of shy. She told us she likes living here in Iowa. You don't get to see llamas very often. She is hoping for sister to be able to join her family. We will stop and see Lilly again another time.

At the hitching post

After my parking ticket, I decided to go to the hitching post and take a ride on my favorite horse Hidalgo. [ I'm glad I don't have to carry this thing around] We had a nice ride in the great wide open. It is always a great day when you can spend the day with a friend.
P.S. Did you hear that Barbaro is walking without his cast. Hooray Barbaro!

I'm so mad...

...I could see red!
I went out shopping yesterday, and when I got back to my car it had a parking ticket on it. The parking meter ran out. Dad wasn't happy when I got home and showed it to him. It cost me two days allowance. But Dad said I could do a few extra chores and recoup my losses. Thank goodness they didn't tow it.
P.S. Happy birthday Aunt Nancy in Ohio

Dress up

I told mom I wanted to play dress up. She told me I could look through her things if I need anything. I dug through it all and came up with this nice outfit. I think the hat just finishes off the outfit. Now I am ready to go have tea with the Queen. [these shoes are hard to walk in]

Surfing the internet is fun

Fun facts about Elk:
A newborn calf weighs 35 lbs
A full grown cow (female) weighs 500 lbs
A full grown bull (Male) weighs 700 lbs
A bull grows antlers that weigh up 40 lbs a pair, males grow them annually to display dominance and occasionally for defense. Thats as much as a newborn calf. Elk eat grasses and parts of woody plants. You can learn things and even play games. What shall I look for next?

Have you ever seen a mountain goat?

I just love going to the Bass pro shop. They have so many interesting animals mounted on display. Have you ever seen a mountain goat? These ones look so alive. I decided to do some research on the internet. I found out that the live 12-15 years in the wild, they have 1-2 kids a year, and like to eat sedges, grasses, herbs, mosses. They have rubber like pads on their hooves to help them with their balance on the slopes of mountains. They also have thick white or yellow coats to help keep them warm. What interesting creatures.

Happy Wednesday

My Dad made me a new squirrel feeder for the back yard. I decided to sit out in it with a cookie to see if one of our squirrels would come and talk to me. It worked [Hammy has a sweet tooth]. He told me they like the sunflower seeds, peanuts and especially the oatmeal cookies that we put out for them each winter. With my new swing I can look out the patio doors and watch them eat and play. We also have a pair of Cardinals and a pair of blue jays that enjoy the feeders, not to mention the sparrows. Squirrels are cute and funny. Enjoy the weather today and get out and get some fresh air.

Final day of our trip

On the last day of our trip, myself and a few other people decided to try out the oxygen bar on Fremont street. It was a different experience. It's like putting on a show for the passerby. People look at you funny. You can get a massage with it & they have things at the bar you can use to rub your head also. I recomend everyone give it a try at least once. All in all it was a great trip, outside of the travel end. My total take for the trip was $39.00. Not bad for a 3 year old. When we got back to Des Moines, our plane was delayed because Air force one [now that's one big plane] was at the airport waiting on the president. This is a short report, because I did alot of things I do on every trip {because I like them} and don't like repeating myself. Have a wonderful day and remember to smile.

My trip report part 3

We went down to Binion's so Mom and I could play in a slot tournament. Before it started we looked around. This cat is funny. It sings and dances, while the mouse teases it. They were dressing up for halloween week. I met some cool characters. There was a wolfman, demon and scary creature. [I wished I had my costume with me] Mom and I took second place in the tournament. It was a fun day all around.

More tomorrow, have a great day.

Before I start

Before I do more of my trip report, I want to wish a very special
to my Aunt Donna. She is the sweetest person you could ever meet.
Out on Fremont St, they have musicians that play every evening. I got a chance to play the piano with Ryan Ahern. He is very good. He is the Two-Time World Champion Pianist.
His website is http://www.ryanahern.com/ Check it out to learn more about him.[He likes to make people laugh and smile, like me] More Las Vegas adventures tomorrow.
Have a wonderful Birthday Aunt Donna, Can't wait to see you this evening.

My Vegas Vacation report

Well here it is time for another trip report from Claudette. We got to the airport in plenty of time. I was a little dissapointed not to see the new police dogs that were to be helping out with security. Our flight was late coming in, but not by too much. We boarded the plane, only to find out they couldn't get it started, so they had to borrow a machine from another company to get it started. [Murphy's law certainly took over the travel area of this trip] We arrived at Vegas [Yeah] and proceeded to the bus stop. Once on the bus we were getting excited, but the bus broke down halfway to our hotel. We decided to Hoof it for a bit to catch a taxi. We got our Taxi and rode on to our hotel.

On our second day there, I answered the phone in our room and it was our slot host telling me we have 3 free tickets to see a live show "Shag with aTwist". I told her thank you very much. We went and got our tickets. After supper, we went to see the show. I checked out the drink menu and ordered a non alcholic Shirley Temple. Then I proceeded to read about the show, The was music and singing, and no talking. When the show started, the characters were everywhere, even in the audience. They all came over at one time or another and patted my head and smiled at me. The hunchback even wanted a pat on the back, so I gave him a big one. It was a fun show about a 1950's tupperware party, with a murder [that's the twist]. I wish I had more photo's, but they didn't allow pictures in the showroom, while the show was going. I did get my picture taken with the monkey though, after the show.
More tomorrow about our trip

Last of Halloween for this year

Don't tell Dad, I wasn't supposed to post this picture. This is what he looked like when he took me trick or treating.
I think his tombstone is wrong, we had quite a nice chat.
Well it's time to say good bye.
