The Bridges of Madison County

I'm sure you all have heard of the bridges of Madison county. On one of our road trips, we were able to see 5 out of the 6 that are left. They are very old. The bridges were originally covered to protect the wooden flooring. The timber layouts holding them up inside are a as unique as the bridges themselves. They gave naming rights to the families near where the bridges were originally placed. They each bear family names. One bridge has two family names. Dad said we can stop and see the last one on another road trip.

Look how big they are.

There sure is alot of writing in here.

Whinnie liked seeing them too.
